Clinton, Oklahoma is a city found in portions of Custer and Washita counties. As of 2010, just over 9,000 people were residing here, and many of them work for automotive manufacturer SportChassis, which has its global headquarters in the community. Historically, this community benefited from the presence of U.S. Highway 66, and like other cities found on Route 66, Clinton offered travelers a variety of gas stations, motels, and restaurants from which they could choose.
